Once I get your response and you indicate your willingness to assist us in
securing these funds, we shall first deliberate and agree on the
percentage that you will take for assisting us secure the funds as this is
subject to negotiations. After this, I shall, in my capacity introduce
you/your company to the withholding bank with proper documents as the
legal beneficiary of the money.

Note however that they are no encumbrances with the funds, the monies are
not proceeds from drugs sales neither are they terrorist related. The
funds were generated from a legitimate business deal.

This sounds like a bit of a marvellous deal, but I must warn you I am a bit of a greedy bastard, and if you are getting $38.5M, then I would want a fair cut of say 64.567% of the nett profits.

I don't know just how busy you guys are over there in the Bananas, but here in Ungunistan we are flat out like a lizard drinking.

Look, I'll cut to the chase, I am really busy making millions out of selling shoddy houses to nigerian refugees here in Ungunistan. Keep this to your self, but we really "stick it up the bastards" charging anywhere between 90,000n to 250,000n Lizadoucies just for your basic mud hut with an ironing board roof, and a cobweb floor.

Anyway, that is another story, but if ever you consider coming to Ungunistan, I could fix you up with a basic condo (2 sheets colorbond, aerosol can & a plastic sniffing bag) for around 12,350n Lizadoucies (roughly $11M USD).

Look, I already have a fair bit of money tied up in the GRIST MILL PROJECT, so I am hoping to recover some of that money in my deal with you at the Cecil Wallace-Whitfield Centre. Can you tell me how much $41.5M is worth on the currency exchange in the Bananas converted to Lizadoucies? Actually I think it would only be worth around 17.68n which would be enough to buy another slave from the slave markets here in central Boobeeswet . How is the "Grist Mill" project holding up? I got a report back the other day from "Honorific Fren" , perhaps you know him, he is the CEO (Cant Eat Oranges) of the GRIST MILL PROJECT, and he tells me that they are currently producing over 267 Grists a day now. At that rate I should have my $1.2m investment back in a month or two. Dear Wallace,
Thank you for your email. Most of all, I am glad that you are willing to
participate in what I have proposed.You raised two issues that I  will like
to comment on before I proceed to provide you with the details about what
I have proposed and the procedure to execute it.
The first issue is the legality of this transaction;
Let me inform you that though this is a business opportunity and not quite
the conventional kind of business that  we both do on a daily basis, this
transaction is 100% legal as it will be executed in accordance with the law
here. In light of this I can assure you  that no one that is involved in this
transaction will ever get into trouble now or later in the future.
You should remember that I am also involved in this transaction and I will
not do anything that will jeopardize the reputation that I have built over
the years.
I believe that no money can buy that. As long as we are both transparent with
each other, I can assure you that we shall successfully conclude this
transaction within 10 working days a fter which I will join you in your
country for the sharing of the funds and to also discuss areas of investment
possibilities.

Second issue is the issue of Taxation.
Be aware that I am offering you for your  participation a 25% of the
total funds.
However, I have decided that 15% of  the total funds will be mapped aside to
take care of any incidental costs or taxation before the rest of the funds
are shared at the agreed percentatge.
Just so that you  have a good understanding of the this transaction and the
procedure to make you the beneficiary, I will take my time to explain the
source of the funds and the procedure with which I intend to make you the
beneficiary of the funds legally and in accordance with all the monetary laws
in my country and yours.

It is however very important that I point out here that absolute
confidentiality needs to be adhered to in this transaction for the sake of
prosperity and for my sake as well as I am still in active service. Under n
o circumstances should you divulge any detail about this transaction to a t
hird party.

History of Funds:-  As I mentioned to you earlier in my first correspondence,
I work with the Ministry of Finance here in the Bahamas. I and some of my
colleagues, in our capacities as Government Officials, over-invoiced a
contract awarded to a foreign contractor to the sum involved in this
transaction ($38.5M).

The said contract has been executed and the contractor has since been paid
the contractual billings leaving the over-invoice d sum which is our share.
Since we are still Government officials and the code ethics of our employment
does not allow us to have foreign accounts or  the amount of money involved
in this business, we decided it was best to contact you to have the funds
paid out to you as the beneficiary.

Procedure to receive the funds:-
We intend to have the money paid out to you/your  company as contractual
payments. Meaning that you/your company executed a contract and you are
being paid.

We will process and file all necessary documents to ensure this and since my
Ministry is saddled with the responsibility of granting the final approval of
contractual billings, I will, in my capacity in the ministry of Finance file
in approval letters for contractual  billings in your favour or your company
and include your name/company name  in the payment schedule of contractual
payments.

To process these documents, I will require you to provide me with your
company name or your full names and address with which I will file the papers
to ensure that the funds are approved in your favour.
Once these papers have been filed, I will provide you with copies and
instructions will be forwarded to the withholding bank immediately and you
will be informed of payment advice.

In order for  us to be comfortable with you, we will require you to kindly
answer these questions in all sincerity:-
(1) Have you handled large funds, and successfully?
(2) What are of business will you invest the funds in?

Kindly answer the questions and provide me with the details:
Company name and add or Full names and address.

Dear Vincent,

Thank you for your prompt reply. You have illustrated that you will take care of the taxation, and for that I am extremely grateful.

However I am concerned with the 15% you are "setting aside", as to whether the amount will be deducted before or after my 25% is calculated?

eg: 15% of $38.5m = $5.775m but if you deduct my 25% first : 25% of 38.5m = $9.625m whereas deducted after the 15% is $32.725m x 25% = is only a little over $8.181m.

Thats like $1.5m that I would stand to lose as per your original agreement.
Can you enlighten me further on how you propose to deduct taxes and my commission.

As for confidentiality, I would prefer to keep this arrangement just between the two of us, and if possible off the records of my company too. I could arrange to open a new Imprest account at the bank, that is not related to Northside Plumbing & construction, just to handle this transaction discreetly, if you wish.

In answer to your last 2 questions, my company regularly handles large amounts of money, usually paid through the construction tender system. Although not as significant as your transaction, we regularly handle amounts in the vicinity of several million dollars annually.

As for investment, I would recommend the construction industry here, as development is booming here in Queensland, with many large government tenders being offerred, including the construction of a large dam (water reservoir) in the Maryborough region, later this year.
